The basic level of use is to integrate Plans, Sections, Elevations, Details, and Schedules. However since each component placed on the plan can be embedded with as much or as little information as needed at that stage, other levels of integration could be achieved such as integrating the building model with 5D Construction Management, energy consumption and embodied energy analysis, building component manufacturing, accurate lighting analysis, etc.
